• Performs various activities necessary for the preparation of the patient and the procedure room for the radiology procedures in compliance with policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
• Assists physician during procedures.
• Completes patient assessment, monitoring for procedures and post-care.
• Conducts patient education before test and performs follow-up when necessary.
• Inserts PICC lines and performs troubleshooting maintenance preferred 
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Safely administer moderate sedation/medications ordered by clinicians.
• Submit prescriptions and refills to pharmacies per licensed clinician orders.
• Assist in the onboarding or cross-training of team members.
• Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patient's conditions.
• Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
• Communicate physician treatment plans including lab/imaging results to patients and documents appropriately within the EMR.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

• RN license and certification as required by state.
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
• Certified Radiology Nurse preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum one year of Interventional Radiology experience is strongly preferred.
• Experienced in conscious sedation
• Prostatic Artery Embolization experience
