Prison Pharmacist -Summer coverage
Job Description
We have an exciting PRN Pharmacist opportunity open in Colorado Springs at a correctional facility!
We also need temporary coverage starting in late July for a paternity leave. The assignment will last approximately 8–12 weeks, and flexibility with the start date is required
Must pass the Integrity interview and complete a Defensive Tactics course before employment.
Essential Functions – Including but not limited to:
Accurately fills prescriptions per legal and company standards, including labeling and final audits.
Leads pharmacy operations
Ensures proper billing and dispensing under CMS DMEPOS guidelines
Handles calls requiring pharmacist expertise; communicates effectively with all stakeholders.
Maintains records and audits for CII and controlled substances.
Implements company policies and ensures legal and operational compliance.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- No weekends

Job Requirements
Job Requirements
- Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
- Must pass the NABLEX.
- Must pass the State Law Board.
- Must hold a valid state license.
- Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
- Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
- Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
- Must complete all required state, federal, and company training programs (ie. HIPAA, Fraud Waste and Abuse, I-pledge, etc.)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background Check.
- CPR certified through the American Heart Association.

Experience:
- Pharmacy: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Colorado (Required)
