Job Description
An exciting PRN Per Diem Pharmacist opportunity is now open in Colorado Springs at a correctional facility!
Also need temporary help in late July for paternal coverage 8-12 weeks, need to be flexible with start date
Correctional facilities in Colorado Springs needs a PRN (per diem) Pharmacist to cover weekday hours as needed. They’ll manage pharmacy operations, dispense prescriptions, provide patient consultation, and supervise staff—all in full compliance with laws and policies.
Must pass Integrity interview and complete a Defensive Tactics course before employment.
Essential Functions – Including but not limited to:
Accurately fills prescriptions per legal and company standards, including labeling and final audits.
Leads pharmacy operations
Ensures proper billing and dispensing under CMS DMEPOS guidelines; manages complaint process.
Handles calls requiring pharmacist expertise; communicates effectively with all stakeholders.
Maintains records and audits for CII and controlled substances.
Implements company policies and ensures legal and operational compliance.

Job Requirements
Job Requirements
- Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
- Must pass the NABLEX.
- Must pass the State Law Board.
- Must hold a valid state license.
- Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
- Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
- Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
- Must complete all required state, federal, and company training programs (ie. HIPAA, Fraud Waste and Abuse, I-pledge, etc.)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background Check.
- CPR certified through the American Heart Association.

- Pharmacy: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Colorado (Required)
