Job Responsibilities:

  • Blood draws, rooming, and vital signs for patients aged 0-21 years.
  • Conduct head circumference measurements, PKU tests, and heel pokes.
  • Handle same-day sick hours, including urgent cases like strep and COVID testing.
  • Conduct hearing and vision tests.
  • Administer vaccines; a significant portion of the job involves vaccine administration.
  • Manage 12-18 patients per day for well-care visits with 30-minute appointments.

Schedule:

  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch
  • The clinic is closed for lunch.
  • Expectations for patient load and acuity may vary depending on the day and provider schedule.

Requirements:

  • Certification or Diploma in Medical Assisting
  • Experience in pediatric care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion and empathy when working with children and their families.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a Medical Assistant diploma OR certification. 
  • Must have recent experience as a Medical Assistant. 
  • Must have two (2) great manager or supervisor references.  
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen. 
  • Must have a current American Heart Association approved CPR Health care Provider Card. 
  • Must have proof of current TB placed within the past 12 months.
  • Proof of current Covid Vaccine
