Part-Time Medical Billing Specialist – Full-time Onsite | Denver, CO
Are you an experienced Medical Billing professional looking for your next opportunity? Join a dedicated and fast-paced specialty clinic in the heart of Downtown Denver, where your accuracy and billing expertise help keep operations running smoothly. This 20 hours a week, in-person role is ideal for someone with at least one year of recent experience in medical billing who’s ready to contribute to a supportive team.
$23hr | 20 hours/ week (morning or afternoon) | Monday–Friday, No Weekends *this position is fully in-person*
*1 year of recent Medical Billing experience is required*
*A full background and drug screen will be required for this position*

What You'll Do:

Process and submit accurate insurance claims for hematology services, including labs, infusions, and office visits

Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve denials or rejections
-
Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when needed
-
Collaborate with clinical and front office staff to ensure proper charge capture and documentation

Post payments and reconcile patient accounts

Address patient billing inquiries professionally and clearly
-
Stay current on billing codes and insurance requirements specific to hematology

Ensure HIPAA compliance and support occasional reporting or audits
What We’re Looking For:
-
Minimum 1 year of recent medical billing experience
-
Strong knowledge of insurance plans and medical billing
-
Familiarity with EMRs and insurance databases
- Strong ability to multitask
-
Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Oncology experience preferred

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- At least 1 year of experience in hospital billing/prior authorizations
- Must have two (2) great manager or supervisor references.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- We perform a background check and drug screen
