Part-Time Medical Billing Specialist – Full-time Onsite | Denver, CO

This 20 hours a week, in-person role is ideal for someone with at least one year of recent experience in medical billing who’s ready to contribute to a supportive team.

$23hr | 20 hours/ week (morning or afternoon) | Monday–Friday, No Weekends *this position is fully in-person*

*1 year of recent Medical Billing experience is required*

What You'll Do:

• Process and submit accurate insurance claims for hematology services, including labs, infusions, and office visits

• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve denials or rejections

• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when needed

• Collaborate with clinical and front office staff to ensure proper charge capture and documentation

• Post payments and reconcile patient accounts

• Address patient billing inquiries professionally and clearly

• Stay current on billing codes and insurance requirements specific to hematology

• Ensure HIPAA compliance and support occasional reporting or audits

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of recent medical billing experience

• Strong knowledge of insurance plans and medical billing

• Familiarity with EMRs and insurance databases

• Strong ability to multitask

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

• Oncology experience preferred 

Important Details:

• This is a fully In-Person position, you will work in the clinic 5 days a week– local candidates only

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or GED is required
• At least 1 year of experience in hospital billing/prior authorizations
