The Ophthalmic Technician will assist ophthalmologists with patient care, perform diagnostic testing, and support clinical operations within the practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and experienced in ophthalmic procedures and equipment.

Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Perform patient work-ups including medical history and chief complaints
• Conduct visual acuity testing and preliminary eye exams
• Administer diagnostic tests such as OCT
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Eye drops as directed by the physician
• Document patient information accurately in EMR/EHR systems
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and prepare equipment for procedures
• Provide patient education and post-visit instructions
Qualifications
• Experience working as an Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmic Assistant preferred
• Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and procedures
• Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• COA, COT, or relevant certification preferred but not required
