Medical Assistant (MA) - Asthma and Allergy
Job Description
Are you a dependable and skilled Medical Assistant eager to make a difference in patient care? WSi is seeking an MA to join an exceptional Allergy and Asthma clinic team where your expertise and compassion will shine!
We’re seeking a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering quality care. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Schedule: Monday 10–Close | Tuesday 9–Close | Wednesday 8–5 | Thursday 10–Close | Friday 8–5
Schedule may vary based on clinic needs. Closing time can extend to 6:30–7:00 PM as needed
Pay: $20-23/ hour
MA Job Duties
- Room patients, record vitals, history, medications, and allergies in the EHR.
- Enter provider orders for prescriptions, labs, imaging, and referrals.
- Perform basic testing and procedures (breathing evals, skin testing, POC testing).
- Manage prior authorizations, medication refills, and other administrative tasks.
- Communicate with patients regarding results, appointments, and updates.
- Administer injections as directed and assist with patient education.
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and assist with opening/closing duties.
- Collaborate with providers, front office, and MAs to support daily clinic operations.

Job Requirements
- Must have a Medical Assistant diploma OR certification.
- Must have recent experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Must have two (2) great manager or supervisor references.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must have a current American Heart Association approved CPR Health care Provider Card.
- Must have proof of current TB placed within the past 12 months.
- Proof of current Covid Vaccine
