Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse
Job Description
WSi Healthcare urgently seeks RNs and LPNs for Full-Time 18-week Temp to Perm Positions!
Position Overview: The Interventional Radiology (IR) RN is pivotal in patient assessment, care, and safety during surgical procedures involving moderate sedation. Responsibilities include preparation for procedures, patient assessment, education, and coordination with the healthcare team. Training provided for ACLS shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures.
- Assist physicians during procedures.
- Complete patient assessment, monitoring, and post-care.
- Conduct patient education and follow-up.
- Insert PICC lines and troubleshoot maintenance.
- Coordinate patient care needs with the healthcare team.
- Administer moderate sedation/medications safely.
- Submit prescriptions and refills per clinician orders.
- Assist in onboarding/cross-training team members.
- Monitor, record, and report patient condition changes.
- Sterilize instruments, and equipment, and maintain supplies.
- Communicate physician treatment plans and document in EMR.
- Other duties as assigned.
Certifications, Licenses, or Registry Requirements:
- RN license and state-required certification.
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
- Certified Radiology Nurse preferred.

- Ability to build relationships and display empathy.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and HIPAA regulations.
- Takes responsibility and handles stressful conditions.

Education Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of Interventional Radiology experience is preferred.
Must have 2 or more years of recent experience in RN, IR position at Hospital or Surgical Unit Level.
