Endoscopy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Endoscopy Technician to support physicians and nursing staff during gastrointestinal procedures. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for preparing procedure rooms, maintaining endoscopic equipment, assisting during procedures, ensuring proper scope reprocessing, and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for endoscopic procedures.
- Assist physicians and nurses during colonoscopies, EGDs, and other GI procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes according to manufacturer guidelines and infection prevention standards.
- Collect, label, and transport specimens as directed.
- Monitor and stock procedure rooms, maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in endoscopy, surgery, GI, sterile processing, or a healthcare setting preferred.
- Current BLS certification required (or obtained within required timeframe).
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention, and medical terminology preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.
