Dentist Position at Colorado Department of Corrections
The Colorado Department of Corrections is currently in search of a highly skilled and compassionate Dentist to deliver comprehensive dental care to incarcerated individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat a variety of dental conditions
- Perform dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Create and execute personalized treatment plans
- Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
- Active Colorado dental license
- Prior experience in general dentistry
- Ability to thrive in a correctional facility setting
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

This position is offered on a contractual basis, operating Tuesday to Friday from 0700 to 1700 in Canon City. Travel pay is available.

Currently seeking individuals who:
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug screening and background check
- Must be 200 miles away from the facility to qualify for travel package
- A paid four day Defensive Tactics course is a mandatory requirement for successful placement within the Department. Housing and Per Diem is available for this course.
