Nurse Practitioner - Corrections - Travel Contract
Job Description
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Correctional Setting - Clinic. - In person Role
Job Description:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in a correctional setting
- Conduct physical examinations and record medical histories
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment regimens
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and guidelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Current Nurse Practitioner license
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice
- Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably in corrections or primary care
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
