Medical Assistant - Patient Records Specialist

A large hospital-based Oncology group is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to work one on one with Nurses and Providers to fill a brand new role in their office. You'll be responsible for a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to pulling patient records, prepping files for patient appointments, requesting documentation from various departments, pulling pre-op notes, surgical notes, requesting lab results and imaging files. You'll be in charge of all patient files so you're an indispensable part of the team! Not only will you be blazing a new path for this role but you'll also be helping to find new ways of doing things more efficiently and effectively and your feedback is welcomed and appreciated by all staff members. - Must have a Medical Assistant diploma OR certification.
- Must have three (3) years recent experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Must have experience pulling patient records, working with referrals and prior-authorizations.
- Must have two (2) great manager or supervisor references.
- Must have EMR experience.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must have a current American Heart Association approved CPR Healthcare Provider Card.
- Must have a proof of current TB placed within the past 12 months.
